See you in Sanya for 2027 PATA Annual Summit

At the 2026 Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Summit held on May 13 in Gyeongju in South Korea, the body announced that Sanya — the tropical tourism hot spot located in China's southernmost Hainan province — had been selected as host city for the 2027 PATA Annual Summit.

This is not merely a handover of hosting rights — it also signifies that Sanya will make its voice heard loud and clear on the highest-level platform of the Asia-Pacific tourism industry.

From participant to host, the transformation is widely believed to reflect Sanya's long-term efforts to seize the golden opportunities being presented by the Free Trade Port initiative and deepen its engagement in the international tourism market.

Moving forwards, plans are for Sanya to use preparations for the 2027 PATA Annual Summit as a key driver to continue attracting international resources.

Adding to all the excitement is that the 2026 Tropical Coastal City Tourism Event will also be held in Sanya — serving as a warm-up for future international events.
