As spring paints Sanya in vibrant colors, escape to these breathtaking forest parks where lush greenery meets coastal charm.
1. Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park
Embrace 1,506 hectares of coastal rainforest – home to 1,500+ plant species, including ancient cycads. Walk amid cathedral-like trees where birdsong replaces city noise and don't miss the cliffside views of the "No 1 Bay in China."

2. Linchunling Forest Park
Just minutes from downtown, this 186-hectare gem offers 5.5 kilometers of photogenic trails. Climb to the Deer Observation Deck or Phoenix Forest for views of the clouds and sea, and keep an eye out for playful macaques! The fresh spring foliage and crisp mountain air make for a perfect morning hike.
3. Luhuitou Scenic Area
Named after the Li ethnic group's romantic folktale, this 82-hectare peninsula boasts Sanya's best sunset spots. Trek to the 275m summit for 360°views of the city skyline and sapphire seas. Spring brings fragrant blossoms and a chorus of tropical birds.

4. Baolong National Rainforest
Challenge yourself climbing Sanya's highest peak (1,019 meter) in this 2,884-hectare UNESCO-protected sanctuary. With 91-percent forest coverage, its oxygen-rich trails pass wild orchids and cascading streams.
