On Sept 19, the Belt and Road Art Exhibition and the 2025 Sanya Second China-Russia Art Exchange Show opened at the Sanya CBD Cultural Arts Center.

The exhibition, which runs until Sept 28, seeks to strengthen cultural and artistic ties between China and Russia. Its goals include fostering mutual friendship, connecting artists, and highlighting their creative works.

A total of 83 artworks by 26 artists from both countries and regions are exhibited. With fine brushwork and vibrant colors, visitors can appreciate Russia's majestic snowy scenes, experience the majesty of China's mountains and rivers, and gain a deeper understanding of the cultures and spirits of both nations.

This is not just a visual feast but also a valuable chance for cultural exchange and mutual learning. It will breathe new life into Sanya's art scene," said one attendee.

"For me, coming to Hainan is not only an artistic journey but also a cultural homecoming and reunion. The construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port showcases not just policy openness and economic vitality, but also cultural inclusivity and innovation. Here, tradition and modernity intertwine, East and West converse, and art is evolving and integrating in unprecedented ways," said Sergei, a painter from Russia.
