SWU's middle school in Sanya finishes phase I construction

Focusing on the goal of high-quality education development, Sanya in recent years has continued to introduce high-quality education resources and accelerate the construction of education infrastructure.

To date, the new comprehensive building and dormitory building project of Sanya Middle School of Southwest University has been completed and will be put into use this spring.

The first phase of the Sanya Middle School Project of Southwest University has a total construction area of 26,331.96 square meters, and includes a new complex building, a teaching complex building, an outdoor project and two student dormitories. The completion of several projects will alleviate the problem of insufficient teaching and office space for teachers and students, and play a key role in optimizing the teaching environment and improving the school's level.

Zhou Ying, vice president of Sanya Middle School of Southwest University, said that the school has completed the transformation from a secondary professional school to a complete middle school. At present, there are 30 teaching classes and 1,524 students, including 12 teaching classes in junior high school and 18 in senior high school. In the past six years, more than 10,000 students have studied here, all children of nearby families who have enjoyed the school's high-quality educational resources.

Up to now, Sanya has negotiated 18 cooperatively-run schools, and 11 projects such as Sanya Middle School Affiliated to Renmin University of China and Sanya Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Foreign Studies University have been implemented.
