Datang Hainan PV power generation boosts green development

As of Feb 3, the Datang Hainan Sanya Hongxing's 60 megawatt photovoltaic (PV) power project has generated 36.19 million kilowatt-hour of electricity since it was put into operation four months ago, with the highest power generation in a single day coming in at 386,000 kWh.

The project is the largest centralized photovoltaic project in Sanya, Hainan. It will continue to erect photovoltaic panels with an average daily power generation capacity of 540 watts throughout the project, until it reaches its goal of 140,000 panels.

In addition, the Datang Hainan Sanya Dalong 10MW photovoltaic power station has completed a cumulative power generation of 53.93 million kWh. The two power stations have generated a total of 90.12 million kWh of electricity, providing stable and clean energy that helped Sanya to meet demands during its peak consumption period.

So far this year, Datang Hainan Energy Development has been accelerating the construction of the "Sanya Economic Circle" and has continued to increase its efforts to ensure energy supply.

Datang Hainan will also strengthen practical cooperation with Sanya in six major sectors: centralized and distributed photovoltaic; smart comprehensive energy centralized cooling; centralized energy storage and hydrogen energy; carbon trading and carbon finance; marine industry and technology projects; and headquarters base construction, said Jia Bingjun, chairman of Datang Hainan Energy Development.
