Zijin Mining moves Overseas Operations Center to Sanya

The inauguration ceremony for Zijin Mining's Overseas Operations Center was held at the Zijin International Center in Sanya on Feb 28 — representing the official relocation of the center from Serbia to Sanya.

The new center will take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Hainan Free Trade Port to enhance its role as a key coordinator for the firm's global resources, business activities and operations.

It will act as a central hub for gathering information and supporting decision-making, as well as improving the efficiency of managing and coordinating overseas projects.

"This move is a key part of our strategy to support the group's global development," said Wu Jianhui, executive vice-president of Zijin Mining.

He noted that Sanya — at the forefront of the Hainan FTP — offered unique location advantages and policy benefits that fitted perfectly with Zijin Mining's global expansion needs, making it an ideal spot for the operations center.

Zijin Mining's decision to establish the facility in Sanya is said to underscore the company's strong endorsement of the city's great policies, strategic location and excellent services.

Sanya is currently seizing the opportunity presented by the special customs operations in the Hainan FTP to deepen reforms, enhance high-level international openness and accelerate the implementation of core policies.

The city is understood to be fully committed to building a world-class business environment that is market-driven, law-based and international — ensuring that companies can invest confidently, operate securely, innovate effectively and grow comfortably in Sanya.

Liu Geng, director of the Standing Committee of Sanya Municipal People's Congress and Chen Kebo, vice-mayor of Sanya, also attended the ceremony.
