The Baoji Global Ocean Jewelry Museum officially opened in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City in Sanya, Hainan province on June 2 — marking the arrival of another leading high-end seawater pearl company in the Hainan Free Trade Port.
The sparkling new addition is expected to enhance Sanya's distinctive jewelry and cultural tourism scene.

Hainan Baoji Jewelry Co Ltd specializes in the imported seawater pearl market — focusing on high-end pearls like South Sea gold pearls, Australian white pearls and Tahitian black pearls.
The company owns the premium brand Gablily Premier and operates a full-range industry supply chain. Its business spans importing raw materials and original designs to fine processing, brand development, live e-commerce and expanding into domestic and international markets.
The group is widely regarded by those in the business as a key player in China's standardized and branded development of the imported seawater pearl sector.
After moving into the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, the company quickly tapped local services and accessed the favorable Hainan FTP policies — completing the project setup, facility upgrades and operational launch in only 60 days.
In the context of the Hainan FTP's strategic development, the company is seen to exemplify the collaborative growth of the pearl industry between Hainan province and East China's Zhejiang province.
It effectively connects the mature pearl industry resources of Zhuji city in Zhejiang province with Hainan's policy benefits for imported seawater pearls, paving the way for the complementary and coordinated growth of the pearl industry in both regions.

Chen Weihua, vice-president of Hainan Baoji Jewelry Co Ltd, explained that the decision to establish operations in Sanya was strongly influenced by the efficient and supportive local government services, as well as the special tax incentives being offered by the Hainan FTP.
He noted that by processing imported seawater pearl materials in Hainan and achieving the required value added for domestic sales, the company could enjoy a direct exemption of the 21 percent import duty.
This effectively lowered the costs associated with raw material procurement and production — significantly boosting the market competitiveness and value of their imported seawater pearl products.
Li Xi, general manager of the company, was also positive about the move.
"We are committed to taking full advantage of the duty-free policies on value-added processing. Our focus will be on strengthening our high-end seawater pearl brand, expanding our industry presence and enhancing our core competitiveness," the executive said.
"By collaborating with local industry resources, we aim to help Sanya develop a unique pearl industry cluster and establish a high-end pearl industry hub with a national reach," Li added.
