Tianya district builds new project to boost supply chains

On Sept 20, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jiacheng International (Sanya) Super Cloud Intelligence World Port was held at the Meicun Industrial Park in Tianya district, Sanya.

The project is expected to cover an approximate total land area of 110,000 square meters, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($212.5 million) and a total construction area of around 169,400 sq m.

The project will involve the construction six double-decker elevator logistics warehouses. It will leverage the aviation hub airport to provide fast and efficient domestic and international air freight services, including direct transportation, transshipment, and distribution services for the airport and its surrounding areas, as well as modernized intermodal services such as rail-air and road-air, creating an integrated international supply chain platform that is both modern and intelligent.

The project, which is set to be operational by the end of 2025, will provide integrated supply chain logistics services for park enterprises and is projected to generate an annual operating income of about 1.2 billion yuan, contribute approximately 50 million yuan in taxes, and create nearly a thousand jobs.

Officials from Tianya district stated that the district will enhance project services and vigorously promote the construction of key projects, contributing efforts to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
