Sanya simplifies registration procedures for foreign physicians' practice

The Sanya municipal business environment construction bureau has optimized the application materials for short-term medical practice registration of foreign physicians in China. The health certificate of foreign physicians is no longer required to be submitted.

Medical institutions will be responsible for submitting documentation on-site during the supervision and verification process conducted by the Sanya Health Commission. This approach aims to enhance the efficiency of government operations and improve the convenience of services provided to the public.

The following materials are required for handling the short-term medical practice of foreign physicians in China after the adjustment:

Application Form for Short-term Medical Practice Registration of Foreign Physicians in China; Degree certificate of the foreign physician; Foreign medical license or proof of the right to practice medicine within the validity period; Certificate and agreement issued by the inviting or employing medical institution, or a written statement of civil liability assumption.

The embassy must notarize the degree certificate, foreign medical license, and proof of the right to practice medicine or authenticate under the Hague Apostille Convention.
