Sanya Cultural Center to complete construction next year

Construction on the Sanya Cultural Center project, which includes a municipal museum and archives, has shown great progress and is expected to be completed and put into use next year.

The project is located in Baopo village in Jiyang district, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($144 million). The project's total land area is set to be 45,958 square meters.

The museum will include exhibition areas, collection storage areas, education and service facilities areas, collection technology areas, business and scientific research areas, and administrative management areas. The comprehensive archives will include archives warehouses, external service rooms, archives business and technical rooms, office rooms, and auxiliary rooms.

To date, the basement structure of the archive and museum has been completed, the archive building's main structure is 70 percent complete, and the museum's main structure is 39 percent complete.

After completion, the Sanya Cultural Center will have exhibition display, collection research, educational dissemination, and archive collection and preservation functions. It will improve the city's cultural service system and offer tourists more cultural enrichment.
