BRI forum on food security opens in Sanya

The second Belt and Road Forum on Food Security and the 2024 International Academic Conference on Tropical Agricultural Technology and Technology Cooperation was held in Sanya on Jan 22.

More than 200 experts, scholars, and agricultural industry representatives from 12 BRI countries, including China, Laos, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Pakistan, attended the event, casting their eyes on issues such as food security and the path to tropical agricultural development.

 
"We have already established cooperative relationships with BRI countries such as Laos and Myanmar. Next, we hope to strengthen cooperation even further as well as achieve mutual promotion and mutual benefit," said Kong Xiangyi, director of the Sanya Tropical Agriculture Research Institute.
