Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area recognized as national 5A-level

A total of 21 scenic areas, including the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area in Sanya, Hainan province, have been officially designated as national 5A-level tourist attractions by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Jan 6.

The Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area is located 23 kilometers southwest of downtown Sanya. It is renowned at home and abroad for its beautiful and enchanting tropical coastal natural scenery and its long-standing and unique historical and cultural significance.

The scenic area has been open to domestic and foreign tourists and residents free of charge since June 1, 2023.
