12th national ethnic sports games to hit Sanya in Nov

The 12th National Traditional Sports Games of Ethnic Minorities will be held in Sanya from Nov 22 to 30, featuring 18 competitive events and three major performance categories. Preparations for the event are currently in full swing.

This year's event will be held across two competition zones in Hainan and Xinjiang, with a total of 18 venues. The equestrian events will take place in Xinjiang. At the same time, another one will be held in the Lingshui Li'an international education innovation pilot zone, with the remaining events scheduled for Sanya.

The event has planned to recruit 10,000 volunteers and 2,500 extras, with training expected to commence before June. Various aspects such as food safety, medical care, transportation, and security are also being addressed.
