Post-holiday 'off-peak travel' booms in Sanya

Following the conclusion of the National Day festivities, the decline in hotel and flight prices has prompted a significant number of individuals, including freelancers, holiday overtime workers, honeymooners, and students, to opt for off-peak trips to Sanya.

Sanya's unique natural environment, favorable climate, top-notch service, and market environment have been cited as key factors influencing the choice of off-peak travel.

Sanya travel agencies offer personalized and profound travel experiences centered around its tropical coastal tourism resources. Packages featuring leisure stays at popular locations like Wuzhizhou Island, Yalong Bay, and Nanshan have experienced a surge in demand, with bookings nearly doubling. Additionally, family yacht rentals for outings and travel, as well as duty-free shopping combinations, are standout offerings that attract tourists.

In response to the off-peak surge, Sanya's tourism enterprises continue to diversify their range of travel products. This includes the introduction of events such as the 2024 Hainan Golf Open European Tour Challenge, the 2024 Wuzhizhou Cup International Tourism Island Windsurfing Grand Prix (Sanya Station), and the 2024 Asian Luxury Custom Art Exhibition.

"As a coastal tourism city, Sanya, with its unique geographical conditions, breathtaking natural landscapes, and excellent air quality, has become an ideal destination for wedding and honeymoon trips," stated Xu Wei, president of the Sanya Wedding Tourism Industry Association, underscoring the growing importance of honeymoon and wedding tourism in Sanya.

The head of the Sanya municipal bureau of tourism, culture, radio, television, and sports highlighted Sanya's recent efforts to integrate tourism with sports, culture, wellness, exhibitions, and more, creating new formats, scenes, and modes of tourism consumption. These initiatives provide visitors with an array of new choices.
