2024 WTA Xianghu Dialogue kicks off in Sanya

The opening ceremony for the ongoing 2024 World Tourism Alliance (WTA) · Xianghu Dialogue took place on Oct 30 in Sanya, Hainan province.

Representatives from member units of the WTA, heads of relevant international organizations and diplomats from various countries stationed in China, representatives of tourism authorities, cities, key tourism enterprises, OTA platforms, research institutions, media and guests from 32 countries and regions attended the event.

The WTA, initiated by China, is an international organization dedicated to promoting global tourism interconnection and shared governance at the non-governmental level.

Currently, the alliance has 252 members from 45 countries and regions, covering various fields along the tourism industry chain.

The Xianghu Dialogue has reached its sixth edition. It has become one of the highest-standard and most international non-governmental international tourism forums in the domestic tourism industry.

The Xianghu Dialogue event spans three days and will continue until Nov 1. It focuses on the theme "Geared Up for a New Venture - The Future is Now".

It features rich, intensive and high-quality activities and is releasing special reports such as 2024 World Tourism Alliance - Tourism Empowering Rural Revitalization Cases and Sustainable Tourism: A New Path for Community Resilient Development.
