Sanya emerges as hip destination for New Year's travel

With all its diverse activities and exciting experiences, Sanya is an extremely hip and popular destination for New Year's travel.

According to travel platform Fliggy, tourism markets across Hainan are now hotting up fast for this New Year's holiday season.

Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Hubei, Shanghai and other regions are the prime sources of tourists heading to Hainan for the holiday.

For the New Year's celebrations, a concert by pop star Zhang Jie attracted numerous fans to revel in a musical extravaganza during Dec 29-31. Additionally, a variety of great cultural events like illustrations art festivals, De Yun She cross-talk performances and Belarusian song and dance troupe shows offered a diverse and exciting experience for residents and tourists alike.

The 9th Sanya International Cultural Industry Expo is taking place from Dec 30, 2024 to Jan 2 at the Sanya Tianya Haijiao Mangrove International Convention and Exhibition Center, spanning four days with free admission.

Adding to the fun are popular attractions such as Atlantis Sanya, Tianya Haijiao and Luhuitou Park. They and Sanya Haichang Fantasy Town, West Island and the Sanya Red Detachment of Women Performance Park are hosting concerts, New Year's parties and New Year's mountain running events – inviting visitors to savor the festive atmosphere of the city.
