In recent years, Sanya has leveraged its natural advantages and resources to innovate tourism products such as helicopter skydiving, diving, and yacht tours on top of its traditional tourism offerings. This diversification has enriched the tourism products and enhanced Sanya's appeal as a destination.
Located in Haifeng village, Haitang district, the Tarhe Skydiving Base opened in 2021, becoming Sanya's first skydiving base.
In the first three years, the base has welcomed over 4,000 visitors annually, with an expected surge to over 8,000 in 2024.
Skydiving combines aviation and entertainment, providing guests with visual and psychological stimulation, enriching the tourism experience, and holding promising market prospects.
Similarly situated in the Haitang district, the Wuzhizhou Island Tourist Area creates an "underwater park".
The coral reef project launched last year has received widespread acclaim, becoming a star attraction.
Encountering "mermaids" underwater and participating in music festivals beneath the waves - Wuzhizhou Island enhances the diving experience.
Over the past few years, the Wuzhizhou Island Tourist Area has welcomed around 300,000 visitors annually to experience diving.
Dadonghai Tourist Area has introduced water entertainment projects, Luhuitou Scenic Area has launched new "performance + tourism" activities, and Sanya River offers boat sightseeing tours. In Sanya, more high-quality resources are being transformed into new products and formats, providing visitors with a diverse and high-quality tourism experience.
