Sanya's tourism market showed strong vibrancy over the 2025 Spring Festival holiday. Over the eight-day holiday period, the city welcomed over 2.5 million visitors, generating a tourism revenue of 6.7 billion yuan ($919 million).

The 2025 Chinese New Year marked the first year since the holiday was made an intangible cultural heritage item. Traditional customs and intangible cultural experiences, including park fairs, lantern festivals, bustling markets and distinctive performances, were highlights of Sanya's tourism market this Spring Festival.

Major scenic spots, squares, nighttime consumption areas, and cultural tourism venues integrated unique intangible heritage performances into a variety of cultural and tourism activities, creating a festive atmosphere.
