Sanya to build internationally influential 'Nanfan Silicon Valley'

In recent years, Sanya has been deepening its international agricultural exchanges and cooperation, establishing platforms for international collaboration and shaping the internationally influential "Nanfan Silicon Valley".

Sanya has hosted events such as the Asia Seed Conference, two China-Africa Agricultural Cooperation Forums, four International Seed Industry Scientists Conferences, and four China Seed Conferences and Nanfan Silicon Valley Forums, making it a crucial hub for promoting international agricultural exchanges and joint efforts.

Sanya has leveraged the construction of the Yazhou Bay National Laboratory to establish the "China-Latin America and Caribbean Sustainable Food Innovation Center", which was launched at the Yazhou Bay National Laboratory during the 2024 China-Latin America Sustainable Food Innovation Forum .

By nurturing provincial-level international cooperation bases like the Asian Agricultural Research Center of the Nanjing Agricultural University Sanya Research Institute, partnerships have been established with 36 universities, research institutions, and international organizations from 13 countries, forming a substantial international cooperation network.

Nanfan Silicon Valley is accelerating efforts to construct a new mechanism of international, domestic, and island-wide agricultural open cooperation, aiming to become an influential demonstration area that drives high-quality opening-up in the agricultural industry in both Hainan province and across the nation.
