Sanya, a tropical paradise exuding exotic charm, is set to host a springtime feast for fruit enthusiasts - the 2025 Hainan International Tropical Fruit Industry Expo and National Spring Agricultural Products Trade Fair will kick off on March 21 at the Poly International Expo Center in Sanya.
With mangoes dangling from branches, wax apples displaying tempting red blushes, and domestically grown durians teasing taste buds with their rich aroma, Sanya has transformed into a vibrant "tropical fruit basket", welcoming food enthusiasts worldwide to join this "sweet rendezvous".
Hainan's local fruits, including Lingshui cherry tomatoes, Danzhou honey pomeloes, and Sanya tree-ripened mangoes, will showcase their exquisite qualities on-site. Tropical fruits will compete alongside national landmark fruits like Guangdong lychees, Shaanxi apples, and Xinjiang pears.
The exhibition has attracted over 500 purchasers from platforms like Douyin Fresh, Pagoda Orchard, and Tmall Supermarket to sign deals on-site, establishing a direct link between production and sales. Leading industry enterprises will unveil cutting-edge achievements like AI fruit selection production lines and advanced cold chain technologies, unveiling the secrets of how Hainan fruits are conquering the world.
The expo specially plans the "Island-wide Taste Exploration" event on March 22, organizing activities like exploring banana grove mazes in Ledong, visiting the yellow pitaya base in Wanning, and experiencing the Bo'ao wampi orchard.
The event will feature a free tasting area with over 100 fruits, including wax apples and durians.
