Sanya Phoenix International Airport has introduced an innovative "one-machine dual-screen" inspection system, allowing outbound passengers to complete customs and security checks in under one minute.

On April 6, passengers at Sanya Phoenix International Airport's international departure hall experienced a breakthrough in travel efficiency. The newly implemented system facilitates simultaneous screening of luggage and personal security checks, enabling the immediate exchange of real-time data - such as X-ray images, temperature readings, and radiation levels - between customs and security personnel. This streamlined process is completed in under 60 seconds, representing a significant enhancement over traditional methods.

Under the "one-machine dual-screen" model, travelers place their bags on a unified conveyor belt, eliminating duplicate queues and repetitive inspections. By consolidating customs and security scans into one step, the system achieves true "single inspection, dual clearance."

Airport officials highlighted the role of AI-driven image analysis, powered by eight dedicated servers, in enabling seamless data exchange. The centralized intelligent review system processes all scanned items under customs supervision, enhancing accuracy while cutting processing time by over 70 percent. Since its implementation, the technology has streamlined departures for over 30,000 passengers, precisely handling up to 2,000 daily luggage inspections.
