The Sanya sub-venue of the 2025 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival is scheduled to take place on Sept 20 at the Yazhou Ancient City.
This event is designed to showcase Sanya's achievements in agricultural modernization and pioneering developments within the seed industry innovation, while boosting rural cultural tourism and supporting the ongoing development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
The celebration highlights local culture through a variety of intangible cultural heritage performances and folk experiences, effectively enhancing cultural identity and fostering spiritual motivation crucial for rural vitalization. Additionally, the event will feature displays of tropical agriculture, breakthroughs in seed breeding, and integrated agri-tourism initiatives, commemorating the fifth anniversary of the Hainan FTP.
The upcoming agriculture, culture and tourism exhibitions will highlight a diverse array of local produce, authentic cuisine, and innovative cultural and creative products. This initiative aims to strengthen supply-demand partnerships, broaden sales channels, and promote rural tourism alongside the development of creative industries and urban-rural integration.
The event will also feature a sophisticated evening gala that incorporates live music, dance performances, and interactive quizzes, all designed to celebrate the harvest season and the vibrant spirit of rural life. The engaging activities, such as ''duck catching'' and ''fruit bowling'' will be offered to provide residents and tourists with an immersive experience of farming traditions, making the celebration both informative and entertaining.
