Sanya airport's winter-spring season starts

Sanya Phoenix International Airport has commenced its 154-day winter-spring flight schedule season on Oct 26. During this period, the airport plans to handle 69,000 flights, with a weekly average of 3,115 and a daily average of 445 flights.

For the 2025 winter-spring season, Sanya airport plans to operate routes served by 48 airlines, including 33 domestic, two regional, and 13 international carriers. The network will connect 76 domestic airports and 22 international and regional destinations. Its international and regional network spans key source markets across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Central Asia, and Europe.

Airlines have optimized their route network by increasing the frequency of flights to cities including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, Nanjing, Changsha, and Changchun.

Furthermore, in preparation for the seasonal transition, the airport has enhanced its risk management protocols by conducting a special pre-season risk assessment.
