The Sanya International Youth Familiarization Trip 2025 Southeast Asia Delegation recruitment program was held in Sanya from Oct 30 to Nov 3. Twenty top internet influencers from Southeast Asia countries including Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand were invited to participate.

The study tour attracted thousands of enthusiastic applicants from the tourism industry elites and content creators in Southeast Asia. The final 20 selected representatives have over 5 million followers on overseas social media platforms, possessing strong content dissemination capabilities.

During the tour, participants explored Sanya through three themed routes: island resort, sports exploration, and cultural experience. They plan to share their experiences through various forms of new media content, including short videos, travel blogs, and image-based guides, for distribution in the Southeast Asian market.

This event also served as a warm-up for the 6th Asian Beach Games, scheduled to take place in Sanya on April 22, 2026.

In recent years, Sanya has expanded its international flight network, launching new routes to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Frankfurt, and Kuala Lumpur. These provide more convenient travel conditions for Southeast Asian tourists looking to attend the games and go on vacation.

Thai influencer Maro expressed during the tour, "I believe that with its unique resources and the new flight routes, Sanya will definitely become a new popular travel destination for Thai tourists."

Seizing this opportunity, the Sanya tourism board will participate in the World Congress of the International Federation of Hainan Associations in Malaysia. It also plans to launch promotional activities for the Christmas and New Year "double festival" period and host grand Chinese New Year-themed cultural events there.
