Test flight for new helicopter route takes off from Sanya

It was chocks away and takeoff during the test flight on Feb 8 of the new helicopter route between Sanya and Wuzhi Mountain in Hainan.

The event paved the way for the official launch of the service in the near future.

The chopper flight from Sanya to Wuzhi Mountain takes around 30 minutes and is designed to pass over attractions such as the Luhuitou Scenic Area, Wuzhizhou Island and the Wuzhi Mountain Tropical Rainforest.

This creates a half-hour scenic circle, allowing passengers to enjoy both coastal and rainforest views during their short journey.

The successful test flight of the helicopter route between Sanya and Wuzhi Mountain is seen as a significant step in Hainan's efforts to develop a low-altitude flight network and expand its lucrative low-altitude economy.

The initiative aims to set a practical example for launching more low-altitude routes and fostering related industries in the future.
