The Sanya Tourism Board recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Zhejiang Daily Press Group, which is expected to raise the city of Sanya's profile — both in its home province of Hainan and in the wider region.
The accord aims to strengthen cultural and tourism ties between China's southernmost Hainan province and East China's Zhejiang province — and to boost Sanya's appeal in the Yangtze River Delta market.
The partnership will focus on brand promotion, educational and family tourism, linking with the education sector and promoting Hainan Free Trade Port policies — aiming to set a new standard in cultural and tourism cooperation between the two regions.
The ever-popular tourist city of Sanya offers very special tropical coastal resources, a rich cultural heritage, advanced agricultural technology and a growing array of family and educational tourism options.
From adventures like exploring the rainforest and immersive cultural experiences, to duty-free shopping and conventions, Sanya is quickly becoming a top tropical coastal destination.
For its part, the Zhejiang Daily Press Group is a leading media organization in Zhejiang province, reaching millions of high-net-worth individuals in the region. It's a major player in content creation, distribution and managing tourism projects.
The partnership will seek to capitalize on each other's strengths to work on promotions, event planning, resource coordination and innovative communications.
The goal is to boost Sanya's tourism brand in Zhejiang and in the Yangtze River Delta, increase visitor numbers and explore new media and international promotion strategies.
