Sanya wants more students to consider career in tourism

Sanya Tourism Board teamed up with Hainan Lausanne Tourism University recently to host a series of events in the cities of Nanjing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Hangzhou to promote Sanya's tourism education resources.

The cross-regional efforts in the four Chinese cities are said to have effectively created a bridge between talented students and industry needs — helping high school graduates and their parents to better understand the potential and career opportunities in high-end cultural tourism and modern services.

With the continuing benefits of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Sanya's tourism industry is viewed as being on a distinct upward trajectory.

There's a growing demand for professionals in high-end hotel management, cultural tourism project operations, commercial services and brand management.

These promotional events not only highlight Sanya's vibrant industry and job prospects as an international tourist destination, but also show students that cultural tourism is becoming a promising path for education and career development.
