With the International Children's Day celebrated on June 1, Sanya continues to actively work towards becoming a child-friendly tourist destination.

In recent days, the city has partnered with several major attractions to launch a series of cultural and tourism activities aimed at benefiting the public.

Many scenic spots have relaxed their height and age requirements for free admission for children and introduced a range of family packages, interactive experiences and special dining offers — providing a generous holiday treat for the city's young ones.

Wuzhizhou Island and Phoenix Hill are among the first to update their ticket policies for kids, making family outings more accessible.

Wuzhizhou Island has extended the age for free tickets from seven to 12 years old and rolled out several customized family experiences that run from now to June 7 — including half-day educational camps, electric car tours around the island and pet interactions, available in packages for one adult and one child or two adults and one child.

Phoenix Hill is offering an even longer period of benefits, from June 1 to Aug 31 — raising the height limit for free tickets from 1.2 meters to 1.4 meters and the age limit from six to eight years, providing lasting benefits for families traveling during the summer.

In the wake of Children's Day, various attractions in Sanya have introduced a wide range of discounts and benefits — covering activities like coastal fun, outdoor sightseeing, leisure afternoon teas and live performances.

For example, Sanya Dongtian Park is offering four themed special packages that are running to June 7, catering to different group sizes and including activities like beach buggy rides and leisure afternoon teas.

On Children's Day, Dadonghai Tourist Area provided exclusive discounts for children and family packages at the water park, along with dining benefits at partnered outlets.

Luhuitou Scenic Area also offered special perks on June 1, where children under 14 with a sightseeing car ticket could receive a free family photo at the Seaview Pavilion, along with exclusive family packages.

Meanwhile, running through from now to June 5, Sanya Silk Road Paradise is offering special deals on amusement passes, family packages and live shows.

Beyond family benefits, Sanya Romance Park is offering long-term ticket discounts for college students, covering the entire summer travel season.

An official from the Sanya municipal bureau of tourism, culture, radio, television and sports said the city will continue to promote the development of a child-friendly environment. It will encourage more cultural and tourism venues to boost their services, improve facilities and introduce more family-friendly measures.

The goal is to expand family tourism options and improve the overall travel experience — allowing young ones to enjoy a safe, comfortable and fun environment, making family trips much more enjoyable.
