Sanya offers slew of great summer activities for parents, kids

Since the start of summer vacation, the resort city of Sanya in China's southernmost Hainan province has been bustling with a wide range of exciting family-oriented fun activities — providing residents and tourists alike with plenty of diverse holiday choices.

At Sanya Library, lots of kids these days can now be found with their heads happily buried in books.

In fact, many families choose to spend time there, enjoying the cool and calm atmosphere as they read together, making books a delightful part of their holiday experience.

Meanwhile hands-on activities like art and crafts, among others, are also captivating kids by immersing them in traditional culture.

Jiyang district in Sanya organized a public workshop focused on the crafts of the Li and Miao ethnic groups on July 26, attracting 20 families.

Parents and children teamed up to create traditional Li brocade patterns, getting an up-close look at the special appeal of Hainan's local heritage arts.
