Sanya airport boosts summer travel experience for passengers

Sanya Phoenix International Airport recently introduced a mist cooling system in its domestic arrivals area, designed to enhance passenger comfort during the busy summer travel season.

With Sanya experiencing high temperatures, humidity and intense sunlight, it can become quite uncomfortable outdoors.

The outdoor passageways for domestic arrivals at the airport are not air-conditioned, leaving passengers exposed to the elements during peak heat times.

To tackle the pressing issue, Sanya Phoenix International Airport has implemented a new mist cooling system, which operates daily from 10 am to 4 pm during the hottest parts of the day.

The system effectively reduces heat exposure and significantly improves the overall travel experience in hot weather.

It automatically adjusts based on real-time temperature and sunlight levels — and is designed to pause during adverse weather conditions such as strong winds or heavy rain, ensuring both comfort and safety for passengers.

An airport representative mentioned that they will keep focusing on addressing passengers' needs and concerns by regularly gathering feedback and continually enhancing facilities and services.

The goal is to create a cool, comfortable and overall hassle-free airport experience.
