New major headquarters settle in Sanya city's CBD

The offices of Zijin (Hainan) International Mining Operation Management Co Ltd, located in the CBD area of Sanya city, have been officially recognized as Hainan's major corporate headquarters.

Currently, Sanya's CBD hosts 32 headquarters enterprises, making up about 62 percent of the city's total.

The area includes eight major corporate headquarters, accounting for roughly 67 percent of the city's total, as the cluster of commodity and cross-border mining industry headquarters in the Hainan Free Trade Port continues to grow.

Zijin (Hainan) International Mining Operation Management Co Ltd is a key operational platform of the massive Zijin Mining Group, based in East China's Fujian province — the parent company which ranks third among metals and mining companies in the world and first in gold mining companies, according to the 2026 Forbes Global list.

Since setting up in Hainan, it's coordinated the core functions of the group's headquarters, engaging in international business in the global mineral resources market and serving various partners in mining, trade and finance worldwide.

Thanks to its strong industry influence, the company successfully completed the full recognition process as Hainan's major corporate headquarters.

The headquarters economy is a key focus for developing the Sanya CBD. It's seen as being utterly essential for boosting the modern service industry, facilitating both domestic and international economic cycle and enhancing the openness of the Hainan FTP.

Since the start of 2026, the Sanya CBD has actively engaged with businesses to understand their needs — advancing the recognition of headquarters and helping companies to enhance their operations to fully benefit from the Hainan FTP's policies.

This recognition is understood to be a significant milestone for leading mining companies that are establishing their international headquarters in the Hainan FTP.

What's more, it's further strengthened Zijin Hainan International's role as a coordination platform for Zijin Mining's overseas operations and as a global collaboration hub.
