Third Sino-Russian Art Works Exchange Exhibition opens in Sanya

The Third Sino-Russian Art Works Exchange Exhibition opened its doors to the public at the Sanya CBD Museum of Art on Aug 25. The exhibition, free to the public, will run until Sept 14.

Themed on "Free Trade Rhythm · Silk Road Gale", this year's event showcases over 60 masterpieces, featuring top artists from China and Russia, including renowned Russian painter Evgeniy Makeev.

The artworks on display are diverse in style and rich in themes — offering a blend of sophistication and visual appeal.

Russian artists are presenting pieces that are both profound and elegant, reflecting their unique cultural and historical backgrounds.

Meanwhile, Chinese artists offer lively and delicate works that capture the very essence of island life, fishing villages and Eastern aesthetics.

Marking the holding of the exhibition, artists from both countries gifted a collaborative painting to the organizers — symbolizing the cultural friendship between China and Russia.

Headline Russian artist Evgeniy Makeev said that Sanya's seafront and tropical climate and environment provide a refreshing experience, and he's gained new creative insights from interacting with local artists.

He also expressed his wish to return to Sanya in the future to create more works that will promote the city and Hainan province to art lovers throughout Russia.
