Sanya has three AEO-certified jewelry firms now

Hainan Baoji Jewelry Co Ltd received advanced AEO certification from customs recently, making it the third jewelry firm in Sanya to achieve this distinction, following Zijin Gold Technology (Hainan) Co Ltd and Hainan Heren Pearl Co Ltd.

The AEO system, promoted by the World Customs Organization, accredits companies with strong credit, compliance and security records, offering them streamlined customs procedures. It's often referred to as the "golden ticket" of global trade.

Certified companies benefit from faster processing, reduced inspections and enhanced services, which help lower international trade costs and boost competitiveness.

A representative from Hainan Baoji Jewelry noted that the benefits of AEO certification, along with the duty-free policy for value-added processing in the Hainan Free Trade Port, provide significant advantages for the company's growth.

An official from Sanya Customs, under Haikou Customs, highlighted that the gold and jewelry industry combines advanced manufacturing, fashion consumption and international trade. It's a key focus for Sanya as it builds a modern industrial system with unique local strengths.

Several leading gold and jewelry companies have established themselves in the Hainan FTP since the launch of island-wide special customs operations last year. A robust gold and jewelry industry chain is quickly forming along the South China Sea coast.

Statistics show that Sanya Customs has overseen shipments of value-added processed jewelries worth over 96 million yuan ($14.3 million), benefiting from nearly 15 million yuan in tariff reductions.

Currently, there are 126 AEO-certified companies in Hainan province. Looking ahead, Haikou Customs plans to further enhance AEO certification initiatives to support the high-quality development of Hainan's specialized industry clusters.
