Sanya successfully hosts overseas Chinese youth study tour

The resort city of Sanya successfully hosted a five-day study tour for a group of overseas Chinese youth recently. The study tour attracted 49 young overseas Chinese and returned students from around the globe.

The tour offered an innovative, immersive learning experience combining educational and cultural explorations that leverage Hainan's distinctive red culture, maritime heritage, and overseas Chinese cultural resources, making a unique contribution to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

During the tour, participants engaged in Sanya's investment promotion events and visited pivotal industrial parks, such as the Sanya Digital Economy Industrial Park, Hainan Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, Haikou Jiangdong New Area, Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, Yangpu Economic Development Zone, and Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City. These visits offered insights into the preferential policies of the Hainan FTP and a comprehensive view of key industries like digital economy, deep-sea technology, and Nanfan seed breeding. Participants experienced firsthand the vibrant growth and openness of Hainan's development.

The group also explored cultural and historical sites like the Sanya Museum Egret Hall and the China (Hainan) Museum of the South China Sea. They learned more about the history, examined artifacts, and reflected on the revolutionary journey, gaining a deeper appreciation for Hainan's maritime history and the enduring spirit of the overseas Chinese community.

The five-day, island-wide study tour served as a bridge for young overseas Chinese to connect with Sanya and integrate into the Hainan FTP. It fostered a spirit of unity and progress among the youth. Participants expressed that the tour was a chance to broaden their perspectives and empower their growth, as well as to deepen their Chinese connection.

They plan to leverage their unique position to connect global resources. They are eager to share the stories of Hainan and Sanya, contributing their youthful energy and overseas Chinese strength to the high-quality development of Sanya and the Hainan FTP.
