4th Hainan FTP International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Forum to be held in Sanya

The Fourth Hainan Free Trade Port International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Forum and Deep-Sea Technology Innovation Conference 2026, organized by the Hainan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Administrative Center for China's Agenda 21, and the Sanya Municipal People's Government, is set to take place from Nov 3 to 6 at the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City high-tech zone in Sanya.

This year's event features a "1+7+3" structure, with one main forum, seven parallel forums and three supporting activities.

It will utilize international scientific platforms like the Global Hadal Exploration Programme to dive into key global topics such as deep-sea frontier science, high-end equipment manufacturing, marine biomedicine, marine culture and tourism integration, marine cultural heritage protection and deep-sea oil and gas engineering.

The conference will also host an exhibition showcasing advanced deep-sea technology and equipment. This will be open to national deep-sea tech innovators and will highlight significant achievements in the field through physical exhibits and multimedia presentations, covering scientific discoveries, technological breakthroughs and real-world applications.

A highlight of the event is the marine biotechnology innovation and industry empowerment sub-forum. This session will focus on areas such as marine biomedicine, marine biological products, functional foods and marine biomaterials.

It aims to streamline the process from resource to industry, enhance the efficient transformation of marine biological resources and technology, support industry cluster growth and precisely empower blue finance, all to help upgrade Hainan's marine industry structure.
