The Sanya International Communication Co-Creation Season and the Go China in Sanya event officially launched on Nov 2, bringing together representatives from Chinese-language media and international bloggers from 19 countries and regions by the South China Sea for a six-day exploration.

"We aim to transform what we see into reports with an international perspective, showcasing Sanya's beauty and charm while also interpreting its warmth, cultural richness, openness, and development," said Chen Lin, president of Canada's Solo Magazine.

This year marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) and the beginning of island-wide special customs operations in the Hainan Free Trade Port. Sanya is becoming a major gateway for international tourists entering China, offering visa-free entry for citizens from 88 countries and a streamlined customs process that takes just 30 seconds per person. The city has established 38 international passenger routes, connecting with key regions in Southeast Asia, Central Asia and Russian-speaking areas.

Up to Oct 24 this year, Sanya Phoenix International Airport handled over one million passenger trips, a 30.3 percent increase compared to the previous year, reaching a new high.

During the six-day trip, the participants will visit attractions like Luhuitou Scenic Area and Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area to experience Sanya's new cultural and tourism developments firsthand.

At the launch event, organizers introduced the Sanya International Communication Co-Creation Season, the "Passport Friendly" tourism promotion activities and the Hainan FTP's initiatives for easier entry and customs support for foreigners. Some international attendees also shared their experiences in global communication and the blend of sports and tourism.
