Sanya Qingmei Bridge opens to traffic

On Nov 16, the Qingmei Bridge in Sanya opened to traffic. Located in Yalong Bay National Tourist Resort in Sanya, it connects Longhai Road and Bohou South Road. The bridge is 65 meters long and 17 meters wide, crossing both sides of the Longxi River.

Dense mangroves stretch on both sides of the bank, attracting egrets. The natural beauty is integrated with the bridge construction, creating beautiful scenery.

The Qingmei Bridge has been the trunk road of Yalong Bay National Tourist Resort, which is not only a famous tourist attraction, but also an industrial park. The area possesses 25 hotels, three scenic spots, 19 tourism enterprises, and two administrative villages. With a large scale of high-end hotel clusters, it is used to receive more than 12,000 tourists per day.

Previously, the Qingmei Bridge was identified as a dangerous bridge by relevant departments. The passage was once closed, and vehicles had to detour a long way to reach hotels from the entrance of Yalong Bay, which also brought many travel inconveniences to surrounding villagers.

After the opening of the Qingmei Bridge, it will promote the development of tourism and agriculture along the project, connecting Qingmei, Liupan, Honglu, and other villages with the Yalong Bay National Tourist Resort, while also serving as the main channel for local transportation and travel.
