Sanya's underwater tunnel construction gets into gear

The Sanya River Estuary Channel project – located in the Tianya district – is currently making swift progress in its construction.

The project is deploying full underwater construction methods to ensure that both yachts and boats can enter and exit the port without being affected by the construction, while also effectively protecting the surrounding marine ecosystem.

The project represents Sanya's first underwater tunnel engineering endeavor, with a total tunnel length of 3,118 meters.

On completion, it's expected to further optimize the transportation system of Sanya, providing favorable conditions for the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
