Sanya to Ledong tourist railway set to open with themed carriages

On Nov 10, themed high-speed trains destined for the Sanya to Ledong tourist railway arrived in Sanya.

The train sets are classified into three series: "Phoenix Dance in the Sky", "Ends of the Earth", and "Memories Revisited". These series are inspired by the scenic coastal landscapes of Sanya, including elements such as the reflections of the sunset over the sea, the coconut dream corridor, and Luhuitou. The color schemes integrate elements of auspicious clouds, the ocean, and tropical flora like bougainvillea.

"The train sets comprise three distinctive carriages along with one themed carriage, all customized to embody the local Sanya characteristics in their exterior and interior designs," explained Liu Hongfeng, senior engineer at Hainan Railway Company. The themed carriages are equipped with innovative amenities, such as self-service coffee machines, milk tea dispensers, beer taps, and AI check-in kiosks. These features establish a new standard for train carriage amenities in China.
