The 2024 Asian Seed Congress is coming to Sanya city in China's Southernmost Hainan province on Dec 2-6, marking China's hosting of the event after a decade.

Themed on "Rising the Wave of Growth in the Asia Pacific," the congress has attracted over 1,500 industry representatives from around the world to convene in Sanya – including key figures like Manish Patel, chairman of the Asia-Pacific Seed Association or APSA.

The opening ceremony will unveil the recipients of this year's APSA Outstanding Contribution Award and announce three new nominees for honorary lifetime memberships.

The congress will feature five technical sessions, an Asia-Pacific Seed Association roundtable and a 30th-anniversary forum, among other  activities.

Over the course of the four-day congress, global experts will converge in Sanya to exchange their cutting-edge insights, advise on how to accelerate the cultivation of new productive forces in the seeds industry and help propel the Asia-Pacific seed industry to new heights.

A specialized exhibition hall will display technological innovations in the sector.

What's more, on Dec 6 delegates will visit the Yazhou District National Modern Agriculture (Seed Industry) Industrial Park, the Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Industrial Promotion Center, the Yazhou Bay Seed Laboratory and key enterprises in Nanfan Seed for field visits.

The event is being organized by APSA in collaboration with the China Seed Trade Association and the Sanya municipal government.
