Golden Coconut Carnival brings immersive experiences to visitors

The 5th Hainan Island International Film Festival's Golden Coconut Carnival kicked off on Dec 17 and will run until Dec 21, igniting a new wave of cultural activities following opening ceremony of the HIIFF.

The carnival has set up four outdoor screening venues, including the Luhuitou Scenic Area and lawn of the Aranya Sanya Community, to promote outdoor film viewing. 

 
Through a combination of online and offline formats, the carnival has provided immersive entertainment experiences for citizens and tourists in aspects such as dining, accommodation, transportation, shopping and entertainment.

The Luhuitou Scenic Area has also organized a themed market, a concert featuring film and television music, and a range of interactive games, all of which allow visitors to experience the excitement of film and television works.

In addition to hosting outdoor screenings, the Aranya Sanya Community has also set up market stalls, interactive activities, and music performances for residents and visitors.

 
In addition to the diverse offline activities, this year's carnival is emphasizing public participation. The Sanya Tourism Board has launched the "Traveling with Movies" challenge on Douyin, which has already attracted nearly 100 fans to participate. The total online exposure of this challenge is approximately 5.3 million views.
